And today John and I went to the post office to apply for our passports so we can go through Canada to Alaska. I feel so grown up.

Friday, March 30, 2007

I picked up two essentials for our Hawaii trip today: books and another memory card.
I also got my social security replacement card after about 18 years. I lost it in a parking lot in 1989. Luckily nobody had any idea about how to commit identity thief back then. Finally, I went down to the social security office this Monday and after a really short wait they told me I'd get it in two weeks. I got it today so it was a short two weeks too. The social security office was in the old post office at 7th & Broadway. When I was a little girl, I'd ride the bus up there with my dad almost every week. It's still a magnificent building with lots of brass service windows and old post office boxes along the huge hall with marble tables down middle. Dad used to set me on one of the tables while he addressed and stamped his envelopes. It was nice to have a good memory. They even had the wanted posters in the same place and the same two huge torch-like things on either side of entrance hall. I had to parallel park which I haven't done in years and feed the new parking meters which are now really hi tech and more expensive. It only took me 15 minutes from parking to getting back in the car. I was tempted to just stay parked to get my money's worth but I decided I had better things to do.
I love the weather lately except for the storm. It wouldn't have been so bad if Missy hadn't decided I could make it stop and kept barking at me. Yesterday she was weird, too. I attached her lease to the chair outside so I wouldn't have hold it while I was outside. (We have no fence) As soon as I started to read she went to the door and started scratching to go back in. When in, she wanted to sit looking out.
Christy stopped the boys scout pictures by Tuesday. She didn't get to stay long because we both had to be someplace else.

AHHHHHH!!!!!!
:Virginia stops to run around house feeling dazed and confused:

My cheeks are hurting. I just got some new face wash in it with salasylic acid in it and it's making my face burn.

I'm not going to use it anymore.

Tomorrow starts the hell of blocks. Jeremy said we were going to go to Thai Smile on Saturday after I am all done, so that's the only thing I have to look forward too.

I still need to go over the old exam for drug info and then finish my homework, and then I may take a kinetics test to with me to do in bed until I fall asleep.

My goal is to not eat any candy this set of blocks. So far, I've done pretty good. I had some pineapple a little bit ago to get the edge off. Hopefully, I will be able to get a good night's sleep tonight.

blah.

I got up this morning and did a workout tape. And then I started studying. I studied nonstop until around 3 when I went to Petsmart to pick up Perhaps from the vet. and even then I took a notebook in the car while Jeremy drove.

Then back to studying. I sat outside most of the day and the top of my knees are burnt straight across where my notebook was lying. it looks funny.

I just took a nap at 7 and woke up. I'm back to studying.

I was suppose to get through therapeutics today but I haven't even been able to start it. I will hopefully finish kinetics before i get to bed. I just have one more packet to get through, although I haven't gone through my old labs OR old tests for it. I have so much crap to get through. I don't know where the time has gone.

Tomorrow- therapeutics, as much as I can, medical terminology
Monday- Lab and Medchem
Tuesday- Drug Info homework and Objectives
Wed- Kinetics homework and old exams
Thursday- Kinetics and Drug Info Exams
Friday- Theurapeutics @ 3 pm
Sat-Lab and med chem

I have been sleeping pretty crappy lately. Waking up multiple times in the night, have to take naps during the day, strange dreams.

I have tests in one week. gross.

Cold Stone Creamery gave me a $10 gift certificate because they were buttheads. Chris and Lissa got me a gift card but apparently it wasn't activated and when i went to use it last week, the girl wouldn't activate it for me. I went online and complained to corporate in their little feedback section, and the manager from the Hamburg store called me and apologized. I guess I should have complained to corporate too 5 years ago when I found not one, but two hairs in my icecream. I wonder what I would have gotten then.

I've had to tape American Idol because of needing to study, so I will be a couple hours behind when it is all said and done.

I wish I didn't fret so much about studying.

Jeremy shampooed the carpet last night. it looks really good.

I did the elliptical for 30 minutes on level 11 for the first time yesterday. It felt awesome. But, I ended up not working out today because I slept so badly last night. I will start again tomorrow. Working out five days a week is my goal and if I get over that, it's just icing on the cake. Or, icing off my butt... teehee

I can't believe your car is broken already! that's lame

This morning we got up and headed downtown to the Irish parade. We got to hear the bagpipes. it was pretty cool, although the herald leader said that it started at the wrong time. When we were standing there, I noticed that Teresa Issacs was standing right in front of us. She is the former mayor of Lexington. She sucked as mayor.

Then, we went to Cheapside for lunch and Jeremy got some authentic irish food.

we watched some of the parade and then we headed home to watch the games. Then, Becca and Greg dropped in on their way home from South Carolina and we went out to dinner.

When we got home, we played some games of Rummy and Jeremy won. Even though I tried to cheat:)

Maybe and Perhaps are the cutest. I really like them a lot.
Ouch! Your foot must really hurt. My car broke. The heater was putting out cold air. After breakfast at Golden Corral, we went to take it into the dealer this morning. It was cold enough but then the front windshield fogged up so we had to open the side windows to get the windows clear enough to see. We were on the expressway which made it worse since it was 22 degrees. I was froze. They fixed right away and now everything is right with my world. We picked up our travel documents with our e-tickets on the way home. We got two tote bags instead of one this time. John said it's because he was there. I can hardly wait until spring break and not just because we're going to Hawaii.
I got up early today and finished up the laundry and did both my workout videos. Then, I was watching TV and doing some arm exercises and dropped my 10 pound weight on my foot. And it wasn't even like I dropped it. I was sitting it down on the ground and I just like fell a total of an inch before hitting the top of my foot.\

It hurt sooooo bad. It immediately swelled up and bruised and I went into the bedtime and cried to Jeremy. I can't believe it hurt so bad. literally, it just fell an inch. Jeremy got me some ice, but it still hurts now. I can't curl my toes or anything without pain.

So, as you might have figured out, we aren't camping. The weather was too crappy to go. So, I sat at home all day today and complained about my foot all day and watched tv. I did make dinner for us and Jeremy made no bake cookies.

sigh. I really think I should have studied more over spring break. But, I will stay after school all next week and study. the week after that is blocks.

I am so ready for it to be summertime.

I asked Jeremy if he ever thought of what it would be like if we were poor. Like, if our income was less than $700 a month. that would be crazy. we would have to live somewhere that was pretty crappy, we couldn't ever go out to dinner or splurge on anything, we couldn't have the animals. it would suck.

It's hard for me to imagine being in a situation like that.

I think it may be naptime!

Tuesday, March 13, 2007

Today, I got up at a decent hour and went and worked out. Then, I sat outside at a pinic table and did kinetics. I came home to brush my teeth for the dentist. My check up went good, although they said I had a cavity. I'm very weary of trusting them. I guess I'm being a big baby about it. I just don't want my teeth to bad. I had a dream last night that I was out running and I couldn't get my speed up and I was barely moving. And then, my teeth started falling out and I was spitting them out in chucks. I have dreams like that all the time, where my teeth fall out and I have to spit them out. it's gross.

I came home and shaved the dogs down so that they are both bald. I accidently knicked Perhaps in two different spaces.

When Jeremy got home, we headed back over to the dog park. The dogs had a great time. Although, Perhaps got into with a big bull dog. It could have ripped her neck out. I got a blister too when I was falling her around the park. There are a few points in the fence that don't come all the way down to the ground where she can get out, so I have to watch her very closely.

When we got home, Jeremy gave the pups a bath. now, we're watching American Idol. I don't think I'm going to vote tonight.

Tomorrow night, I am going out with Joy and Swati to dinner.

Saturday, I saw my favorite cubscouts move up to the next den. (In case you're a friend of Virginis and don't know Jacob is the shorter one and AJ the tallest.) Even after dealing with the long country road, I found I was glad to have been there.

Sunday Bowling For Kids Sake was fun but I did pitiful. Luckily I gave a straight donation instead of per pin. Then we headed to Lexington where we finally got to celebrate Virginia's birthday. We really enjoyed ourselves. Besides Virginia and Jeremy, I got to see the animals. John was happy to get a chance for some pasta and I liked my food even though I didn't get my pineapple juice.

I was glad to get home from work Monday and take a nap though. I didn't even check my cellphone or computer. We watched a couple of ER's but we're still about 6 hours behind and since I'll be gone tonight we be up to 8 hrs. again tomorrow. At least when we're watching ER, I don't have to watch Homer.

Eighty degrees today! I celebrated by walking in Iroquios Park and looking at the new construction on the way home. I hope Virginia and Jeremy and Perhaps and Maybe have fun at the dog park. It's a great day.

Yesterday,
My parents came into town and we went out to dinner for a belated Birthday. It was very nice seeing them. I'm sorry that you guys had to stay in town so late.

Today, I went to work out and tried to study at school but then I didn't get very much done. I ended up meeting up with Jeremy and going to the dog park while jeremy went around the park to rollerblade. perhaps had a blast running around. she went round and round the park nonstop for almost an hour.

Then, we headed home to eat dinner and went looking for a replacement food processor. We got one at Meiger, but we still want to go to Target to see what they have before we take it out of the box.

Turtle is so cute and so is Zippy.

We got a ton of yogurt when we went to Meiger. It was on sale.

Tomorrow, I am going to try to get up at a decent hour and then I'm going to go workout and study before my denist appointment at 2. I think we may go back to the dog park tomorrow so Jeremy can go work out.

Saturday, March 10, 2007

Jeremy gave me his cold and i am very upset. I started getting sick on Thursday afternoon, so I ended up not working out.

Last night, I went to a see Cheryl's band play at the Dame last night. My ears were all stuffed up from being sick, so I actually enjoyed it even though Jeremy said it was a very loud concert.

This morning, i got up and volunteered at Faith Pharmacy. I really enjoyed it. They asked me to come back on march 31st because I did such a good job.

Then we went out to lunch with Jeremy's mom. we've been driving around her car trying to save her money so she didn't have to pay for the parking at the airport. she stayed at our house last night.

i came home and took a nap. I felt like poop when I woke up. I hope that I get better soon.

This is the wallabye I got to pet at the zoo today.
I survived Tuesday at the hospital but I didn't like it. The dye test went well but the results mean more surgery (the vein is big enought but it's too deep so he needs to operate and bring it higher) and the stupid person in the discharge area wouldn't let me go home for almost 3 hours. Dr. Alankar said I could go home but they were waiting to get the results a blood test that was ordered by a dr. I don't even see to make sure the potassium was going down. When they finally got the dr. she said just fax the tests to Dr. McLeisch and he'd look at them Wednesday. That's what I told them was said before the procedure but they didn't believe me. I wasn't very nice. I don't like being treated as if I don't know what I'm talking about. If she had taken out the iv, I would have just left. Wednesday when I went to Dr. McLeisch's the wonderful lady who draws my blood almost had a fit about the shape they left my veins in. She couldn't understand how they turned out so damaged and bruised. My right arm was as bruised at the left where they did the procedure. It took until today before I really got over my bad attitude. It was an inservice day but I was supposed to work. I took a personal day to get right with myself. I started by going to Mass and then straightened the computer room, living room, kitchen table and threw out garbage. I ate lunch out and then washed my car. It's wonderful washing a new car. It really started loosing the angry edge I've been feeling. Then to my favorite place to walk alone--the zoo. The weather was perfect . Half way through the zoo, I sat under an ancient oak tree and wrote the rest of the way to a sense of joy again. My dear husband brought fish home from St. Rita's fish fry and I finished reading a book. I plan on having only pleasant dreams tonight. It's been a good day.

Wednesday, March 07, 2007

My eight o'clock class was cancelled, but I still got up at the regular time. So, I guess I will head into school early and work on some stuff. I was going to work out at school yesterday, but then I ended up doing school work instead. When I got home, I tried to study for a bit and then I feel asleep. When Jeremy got home, we spent awhile trying to find the stupid main line to the water so we could turn it off. I finally found it in the closet behind some coats. Then, Jeremy and I did a workout video. I ended up only doing 30 or so minutes because the back of my heels were being rubbed raw for some reason, I don't know why.

Jeremy is getting sick, so I don't think he will be able to workout again for a while.

Then, Jeremy went to fix the bathroom facuet that has been leaking for the past THREE years. And now, we no longer have a leaking faucet. I am very glad. I think we may save like 5$ on our water bill each month. It leaked alot.

I watched american idol. I voted actually for Blake and Chris while watching House. Dave was on, so that was cool. He's a pretty good actor. Last night was pretty relaxed, whcih I'm glad. I haven't been able to relax for like two weeks or so it seems.

Monday, March 05, 2007

my paper is done. and my lab is done. I was very frustrated in class today because people were just reading off their answers instead of writing them on the board. and they could have been speaking in another language for all I could tell. it really pissed me off. now, I have to wait until Friday when he posts the answers on Blackboard to figure out if I actually did the problems right or not.

i think I may go to bed now and get up early tomorrow morning to get the stuff done that I needed to get done tonight.

I'm ready for spring break to be here.

Sunday, March 04, 2007

The shower was fun yesterday. I enjoyed it. I got to talk to Mona one on one yesterday and I think we both have a better understanding of each other. It was good.

I ended up eating way too much and got a tummy ache. It didn't help that Perhaps found a dead mouse at Jeremy's house and had in her mouth. That really grossed me out.

My paper is done. All I need to do is proofread it. It ended up being like 15 pages, but that is counting a cover page and references. I hope that it is ok.

I have to finish kinetics and drug information homework and start on lab for wed. Fun stuff.

turtle is a cutie pie.

Friday, March 02, 2007

Tomorrow we are going to Ashland for Mona's bridal shower. I think Jeremy may help his dad put up ceiling tile at a store.

I still have to finish my kinetics lab.

My throat hurts. My ankle hurts too.

Jeremy is out at the store. He is getting stuff to make sugar free oatmeal cookies. The diabetes fair is tomorrow, but I can't go. Jeremy's going to make cookies, and I'm going to make signs for the bake sale and Joy is going to come by and pick them up in the morning.

We are going camping over spring break at Mammoth Caves. I hope that is it not too cold.

I am officially no longer an independent anymore. I have finally crossed over to the dark side. Last night was the Rho Chi initation. I got this cool pin with my initials on it.
