The yard is frozen slush
What was up with that storm that came through last night? Crazy stuff. I almost thought House was going to go off and I would't figure out why that lady was bleeding through her eyes. Jeremy lighted candles just in case:)
I got a 92% on that crap hard test I was worried about. actually, it was a 91.75%, but I've taken the liberty to round up. That's pretty good since my first test grade in that class last semester was a 80% and I had to work my ass off to get an A at the end of the semester. I don't want a repeat of that nightmare.
So, Jeremy is apparently going to be Louisville every week on Mondays for a while. And, since he will be driving through Frankfort every week, we made an executive decision that he will be stopping in at Thai Smile and bringing dinner home. this brings me very much excitment. Although, we will have to cut out the majority of our other eating out events during the weeek because it will be too expensive.
Although, Jeremy found out that he will be getting a 7% raise with this new promotion, and he also had his yearly review and will be getting another 4% raise in March. we can't figure out how much that will be exactly because he's gotten quartly bonuses this year, and that's increased his base salary... so we don't know. We plan on (with our tax returns too) paying Transy back another $1000, buying a bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse, and trying to scrap together enough money to pay for next year's tuition so I don't have to take out student loans. Or at least not as much. I have to pay for three semesters next year, and I'm sure there will be HUGE tuition increase because of all the shitty stuff going on down in Frankfurt. So, that'll be an extra 15K that I would like to sqeeze from somewhere.
In other news, Jeremy's uncle Paul is very sick up in Cincinatti. He was found unconscious in his apartment last week with a really bad case of sepsis. The entire family found out he was HIV positive (on the verge of full blown AIDS), and of course the nasty, judgemental gossip has been flying through Ashland like wildfire. Personally, I think whoever told family was wrong, and a volation of Paul's privacy. And Jeremy's grandmother's first response to finding out was "well, I can't go visit him because I have a hair appointment in two days." I despise evil people. He has been unconscious since last Thursday, but apparently his liver function is improving but his kidneys will be forever shot. But the prognosis is still very poor. Which I don't really understand that. If the prognosis was very poor the very first day, it can't be that poor if he is still alive after almost a week. I HATE that if he does make it, he will have to wake up to his family. I knew he was most likely homosexual, Jeremy knew it, and I'm sure everyone else thought it too. But now that they know it for a fact, they can shun him and humilate him with "justification." there's a reason that a man who is nearly 40 has not come out of the closet to his family, and the reason IS his family. I hate selfrighteous ignorant people. it hurts my heart. I hope they aren't as evil as I imagine they will be.

the sad turtle

poor turtle... she is going to have a nervous break down. yesterday, she hid in the closet most of the day because of the damn static electricity. she literally can't walk across the carpet without getting shocked every step of the way. her hair is just to long and fine. I ended up rubbing her down with a fabric softener sheet just so she would stop twitching. i hope that it doesn't make her sick when she cleans herself.

Who farted?
me, that's who.
Three tests down, one more HUGE on on monday. Nothing like being tested on three inches of material.
Veggie burgers and fries for lunch. that'll be good

I am superduper proud of Jeremy. I went to work with him yesterday and studied while he worked and he was so productive for 10 hours straight. I was really impressed just because I guess I really didn't know what he did. he's a hard worker:)
Did I tell you guys that he finished upgrading his computer? I'm sure he did a bunch of cool and interesting things (at least to some people), but I have no idea.
dammit... i just wrote a long blog and it all got to deleted. it only saved up to that last point. crap.
Anyways, Jeremy doesn't have to go to cincinatti this week, but he goes to Louisville on Monday and Cincinatti on Thursday.

Jeremy found the Chrissa and the Lissa at CompUSA yesterday when he was out searching for a new fan for the computer. And it was Chris' birthday and they were going to go see Juno which I wanted to see but didn't get to last week. so it was fate that I take a break from studying to go see it.
it was a good movie, although I felt really uncomfortable at one point, but I think that was what the movie was trying to do.
Sometimes I love Jeremy so much, I feel like I could burst. Like if I could just close my eyes really tight and hold my cheek to his and smell his neck and feel his heart beat and listen to him breathing for the rest of time, it would all be good. And what is really important is when I need him to me there for me, when I need him to hug me and cuddle, he stops what he is going, no questions asked, and holds me back. that's a damn good husband.

People that spit on you when they talk are gross.
Cold weather SUCKS. sitting in class when it is freezing SUCKS. numb toes SUCK.
Jeremy doesn't suck. he's been ridiculously nice to me, even when I've been crappy, this entire last month. Makes me wonder if he knows something I don't know.
Oh yeah, Jeremy's getting a raise and a change in his title! we don't know how much, or to what, but I'll let you know when we find out. The final stuff comes tomorrow for Jeremy to finish updating his computer, so he is one happy camper.
We got a new desk chair to put in the living room.
our house is cold.
I had too many calories today, and didn't work out. that makes me sad. Although, I could fit into a pair of jeans yesterday that I haven't been able to wear in like 3 months. The true test will be my size 6 jeans that I've only been able to fit in for like 1 day of my entire life. There's also another pair of red pants that I've worn only once due to my inability to breath when I'm in them. those may take me a bit longer... a couple more hours on the stair climber, a couple hundred more crunches, and a few more missed desserts.
Tomorrow I have lab. I should go to bed so I can get up early and got workout. if not, I will have to stay after class in order to do it.
Monday, I don't have school, so I will be able to catch up on studying then.
American Idol had started so that makes me happy. I wish it wasn't 4 hours a week though.

so very sleepy. I took a nap today, which made me feel obligated to stay up late and study some. and now my contacts are really dry and the bed is calling me.
I have to work tomorrow at 10, but I get off at 3.
We got pizza for dinner, and when we went and picked it up, we took Zippy for the car ride. it was really funny. he meowed for the first couple of minutes; I think he thought we were going to the vet. But after a bit he calmed down.
And, I was mind over tummy today and only ate 2 pieces of pizza, 2 breadsticks, and 2 cinnamon sticks. (it was a combo deal). I REALLY wanted to get more, but I resisted. And, we've moved the scale into the closet. I've told myself that my goal weight will no longer be this obscure number that I think I need to be, but when my clothes fit and I feel comfortable in my skin. I will work out extra hard until then, and if my wieght is 130,140, or 150, so be it.

Well, my last first full week of classes is done. And I was busy busy busy. I basically worked nonstop everynight when I got home, on homework and trying to get the Rho Chi invitation stuff together. I was able to get a lot done last night because Jeremy was in Cincinatti last night. I have to finish up a lab assignment, but I only have to do partial of it. I thought my lab group was going to suck last night, but they actually weren't that bad when I met with them today. I guess I should have more faith in people. yeah right.
Tomorrow, I have class until 12, then I need to go and make my labels for lab. Hopefully, that won't take too long so that I can go work out before I have to go to work at 3:30. I work until 10. I work with Rebekah, which will be interesting because I haven't worked with her since before I found out that she wouldn't be coming back to school this semester. she didn't pass cardio or therapeutics, so she is going to have to repeat it next year.
I ended up picking up a pediatric elective, and dropping my Florence rotation. I already have 4 geriatric rotations, so I picked up a peds rotation at UK. I'll save alot of money in gas at least. And then I changed my RX files class to pass/fail. I'm only suppose to have 8 elective hours, and I'm going to be graduating with 13, so I figured I needed to take a little break. School is tiring.
Saturday, I have the day free so I am going to catch up on studying and hopefully go to the gym and burn some flab. Sunday, I don't think I have to work but I should check the schedule. And then Saturday night is Tony Roma's for the CVS pharmacy interns. I also have to get pictues together to update the Rho Chi bulletin board for this semester.
Blocks are just around the corner. isn't that crazy since school just started back?
Jeremy made chocolate chop oatmeal cookies and they are very good. We are taking in the left overs into work/school so that we won't feel obligated to eat the rest.
Next week, Jeremy has to drive to Cinci on Thursday and then to Louisville on Friday. but he should be home at a decent hour.
I am trying to convince myself that I really don't need another cookie. Stay strong Virginia!

A couple interesting things happened at work this week. First, I'm going to be moving offices, as I'm getting booted out of my current office to make way for a new sales manager the hotel just hired. Currently, my office was in the Griffin Gate executive office along with all of the executive managers, sales managers, and event managers. This definitely made things convenient as anytime they needed me, I was right there. Whereas when the sales and event people at my Cincinnati hotel needed me, they would have to email or call me. Now I will be moving to a vacant office on the top floor (7th) of the Griffin Gate away from everybody, so it will basically be like working remotely with the Griffin Gate staff. Overall, I think the pros outweigh the cons though. I finally have an office with windows and a very nice view also. My work environment will also be much quieter, and I should be able to get more work done. I'll be able to turn my Ipod up much louder also. The only major con is corresponance with the Griffin Gate staff just got a lot more labor intensive. The more interesting thing of the week though involves a pretty big change to my current job responsibilities. Currently my cluster handles revenue management responsibilites for 11 hotels. 2 in Lexington, 1 in Louisville, and 8 in Cincinnati. To date I handle two full service hotels and a Courtyard, which is a select service. Effective this week though, my cluster will be taking on 2 more hotels in Louisville (Springhill airport and Residence Inn airport) and 2 more hotels from Dayton, OH. I will be relinquishing my full service property in Cincinnati to my counterpart, but will keep the Griffin Gate Resort and Lexington Courtyard, and I will be taking on the three select service properties in Louisville. I'm more than happy to give up the Kingsgate Conference in Cincinnati, and I'm also glad to take on some brands I don't have any experience with yet. Plus, the two new properties in Louisville are franchises, so it will also be good to get experience with franchise partners. I won't have to make weekly trips up to Cincinnati anymore, which also makes me happy. Instead, I'll be making monthly trips to Louisville for meetings at each of my properties.
Well, I have to go get ready for the annual Marriott Griffin Gate holiday party. I've eaten fairly lightly today and I just got back from the gym, so I'm extra hungry tonight!

I think that I am really going to like that movie Juno. Maybe I'll ask Jeremy if we can see it this weekend.
It is sooo cold out. but, it is suppose to be warmer this weekend.
Tomorrow I have to work from 3 to 9 at Todd's rd, and I think I am going to go to the gym before that and get my sweat on.
I'm in the process of watching a whole season of America's Next top model.
Jeremy has been doing alot of moving. He moved out of the executive office at the Griffin Gate and now he has a huge office on the 7th floor. He has lost his full service hotel in Cinci. But have no fear! he is picking up three selective service hotels in Louisville. So, he'll be driving out to my hometown every couple of months.

My last day before school starts back up... what to do, what to do.
I already started the day by sleeping until 10. then I worked on the Rho Chi invitations a bit. I need to go by Paperweight and approve the proofs, but I may wait until tomorrow to do that and see if someone at school will go with me so there will be two eyes looking. I don't want there to be a mistake and I miss it.
tomorrow I have class at 8, and I think I get done at 3. we have a two hour break, but there hours are separated, so that sorta sucks because I can't go over and work out in just an hour. My elective starts next week, otherwise I would be there until after 5ish.
I wish that our house wasn't cold. I put Perhapsy in her little jacket when I let her outside so that she wouldn't be cold.
