today I went to the denist and got all good scores. And then I came home and sat on my butt. And watched some long awaited People's Court.

And ate a bunch.

Now I have crappy hiccups.

and Jeremy just put in Christmas with The Cranks to watch. I don't know how you spell that.

I just got back from Ashland. I like my preceptor's alot. They are very nice guys. I like the rotation too, xcept I wished that I stayed busy the entire time, instead of having to stand around for awhile with nothing to do.

I've been internet free since Sunday so I was very surprised when I checked my email to find a letter from teh honor fraternity at school saying that because I got a 4.0, they were going to pay for one of my books. $145 one! It was super nice. Too bad I need to buy other books that weren't on the book list. But it was still really nice to find that in my inbox. Only 7 people out of my entire class got 4.0.

Jeremy's parent's house is SOOOO loud. I never slept more that 3 hours straight before someone woke me up. And we had to stay in the pee room aka the room were all the dogs go when no one let's them out in a timely manner. The first night was horrible with the smell, but then JEremy shampooed the carpet while I was at work the first day and it smelled much better.

The first day of work wasw the hardest because I was hurting from standing up for so long. But today, Brad told me that I could leave at 4 instead of 7, so I got to leave town early.

They shut down Man O' War to one lane. That was annoying.

For all the Transy folks, Dr. Choate passed away.

I don't feel very well, but I think that's because I haven't eaten very much today. I have corn pudding in the oven, so that will be soon changing in 20 minutes.

Atlas Shruggled was a very powerful book. I learned alot about myself.

I have alot goign through my head.

if I can just make it past one more day.

The only person I will miss is Don because he is actually a person to respect, rather than the other crap that is there at the lab.

one more day. I have to give a presentation today at 3:30. That should be the longest presentation of my life. It's 18 slides, but it will take forever because I know that they will ask my questions.

Mom is doing fine in Hawaii. I'll let her tell you about all the things she is doing when she gets back. The other night, she called at 10:45 at night and it was funny.

one more day.

I talked to the guy at my EPPE in Ashland. He said that I could work 3- 10 hour shifts on Mon, Tues, Wed and then I would be done for the week. Isn't that awesome. I still have to do 10 hours of paperwork at home, but I'm ok what that. Jeremy arranged it so that he can come up with me sunday night and then drive back wednesday to work wednesday night. That would be awesome if he could work that out for the rest of the month. But he can't because he's goign to Florida to get trained and tehn he's going to a Dave concert.

one more day

Jeremy went to Red River Gorge with the interns at the hotel today. He enjoyed it alot

I talked to mom and she is having fun in Hawaii. SHe got there safe and sound. When I talked to her, she was at a lava tube. That's pretty cool.

I hate it when people you care about so much for in the past don't give a shit about you anymore. It makes my blood boil.

I'm getting packed and ready to go on vacation. I promise to take good care of Virginia's camera now that I remembered to pack it in my carry-on bag. Once I get past security with my needles I will be fine. I have books to read and food to eat on the flight. And I hope to take good care of Rebecca's luggage, too. Hopefully it won't get lost. Missy is going on vacation too. She's going to Greg and Rebecca's. She got in the suitcase and laid down when I went in another room to get something to pack.

Jeremy had to be at work at 3:30 this morning, and that means he had to get up at 2:30 which is really early. He's in the other room now, getting ready to take a nap.

I work my butt up today. And I brought of HPLC printouts to go through tomorrow too. So, I was pretty horrible today. I think Jeremy and I are going to go down to Gatlinburg on Sunday after he gets off work and stay all day Monday. Jeremy's parents have a week down there and they've been bugging us forever to go down there for a few days. So, Jeremy got someone to watch the dogs, but I didn't tell Vijay. I'm going to try to finish all the work this weekend and drop it back off at the lab and then just send him an email. if he gets pissed off, oh well. I worked nonstop for the past 4 days.

I'm getting ready to start a book called Atlas Shrugged. It's suppose to be one of "those" books that everyone either loves or hates. I'll let you know how it goes. It's 1200 pages, so it may be awhile.

freaky stuff

So, there are three dead trees behind our house, in our neighbor's yard. and last week, this huge branch fell from it and busted up the fence in our garden a little bit. And last night jeremy and I were out in the yard playing with the dogs and we started talking about if we needed to call the city to find out if we can legally make the neighbors cut down the trees since they were dead and they could potentially fall on our house.

Then.....

this morning, I woke up to the sound of saws and the trees were gone! How freaky. Sadly, our privacy is even more compromised. I hate that the neighbor's patio is all up in our backyard. Maybe they will plant more, live! trees.
I'm staying home from work today because I'm a bum. Not a complete bum, but a pretty big bum. My lip is infected and is really swollen and it hurts, so I'm going to stay home. I'm a bum because it's going to hurt just as much if I'm at home or not but at least at home Vijay isn't here and I don't have to talk to anyone if I don't want to. The animals don't mind if I don't talk to them. Owww. it hurts.

You know what happens when you really LOVE your job?

You get things like cars and bonuses and pay raises.
Since everyone now knows... (Thanks mom)... I can let you all know I have a new car. A 2005 Ford Focus, it is grey. Courtesty of Shaw Aero Instruments. Haha, I have moved up to company car status. And the car is MINE after it is paid off.
It is a standard though, so Larry is teaching me how to drive it today.

The cutest kid pictures ever will be posted in a little while, once I get Jeremy to show me how to scan them. There was an icon on the desktop for the scanner... now it is MIA and I don't know where to go from there.

So, the guy that I was TOTALLY in love with in middle school found me. Ah, the glory of the internet. Darrell Jagoe. Ah, my heart still melts a little. *Pause a moment to reminisce about too tight jeans and middle school crushes* Alas, even though I think he might be gay now and I'm married, I can't get the guts to write him and say... "hey, remember the sixth grade? I was totally in love with you." We ended up going to the same high school but were in different programs (he was a piano major) and didn't see each other much, but it middle school, we were really good friends. But, he was African American and was cultutally unavailable in the early 1990's. I hate at the age of 11 there was a stigma of interracial crushes. I wonder if it will be like that with my kids. WHen do you tell your kids that can like anything, black white male or female when they're at the age to still consider their daddy or favorite stuffed animal their long lost love? Because it's important to love what you will, but who really loves at the age of 11. Or for that matter 16... 18... 21?

6 cucumbers. one yellow tomato. I know you're jealous.

Virginia, I was a cute kid, too.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

I hope everyone is having a great Independance day!

Sunday, July 02, 2006

we made it to DC ok, although we found out after dinner that our brake lights haven't been for who knows how long. Jeremy is going to try and fix it tomorrow morning or sometime before we head back.

So, tomorrow... IHOP, then the Holocaust, the Zoo and on Tuesday the Air and Space Muesum. And, they're all free.

Saturday, July 01, 2006

The car is washed and vacuumed and the oil is changed and tomorrow morning we are heading to Washington DC at 7 am. I'm going to take a nap and then I will be heading to Louisville to drop off the animals. We already have all their stuff packed and it's a bunch.

Jeremy's parents and Belle and Zoie came into town last night on their way up to visiting Mona. Jeremy made dinner and it was very good.

I have to call Sandra tonight to tell her all the gossip about GeriCare. I talked to Kathie Fawbush on Thursday night and apparently two weeks ago they closed the company. Lots of drama.

I have a new obsession. Backpacking through Europe. England, France and Italy. For three weeks. That's all that they will let Jeremy off of work for. Next summer, after Mona's wedding. Hostels, bread and cheese, not showering, trains... there's just something about Europe that I cannot place my finger on... can places have wisdom? I am super excited. I will now go to sleep and nap and dream off walking down wise streets and eating crusty bread.
