I made it thru my first week as a resident. Well, not all the way through because I'm currently workign this weekend. But, I worked today as a staffing pharmacist and I had a really good day. The tech and other resident (who is leaving next week) kept telling me how it can get really hectic. Apparently they haven't ever been to a crazy CVS. I can take any old veterans they through at me, especially when special warnings pop up for patients who are combative that pre warn you to call the VA police when patients are on the premises. Awesome:)
I really like is so far. Today when I was at the gym, I was thinking about how I could totally do this for the rest of my life. Eat, sleep, work out, love the Jeremy, sprinkling of play time and animals, and doing a job that I like (hopefully love sometime soon).... 40 years of this would be awesome.

Amazing day today:) yesterday was pretty good too.
I'm very thankful that I have days when I love Jeremy so much I feel like I could literally burst. He really is an amazing person.
We to the farmer's market, to the store, to a movie, the gym, and now Jeremy is making Greek salad for dinner.
Tomorrow, Cincy for IKEA and IMAX.

i;ve been slacking majorly on the blog. for those of you that didn't know, I'm now legally a pharmacist! And I've just worked 37 hours in 3 days to prove it. And made over $2000 (what?!?!?).
Alas, I'm ready to put retail on the back burner and start my residency.
I got a bike rack for my car.
Jeremy is amazing. I've missed him the past three days.
Homophobic people irritate me.
Smelling customers in Mt Sterling make me want to gag. Yuck!
I bought $47 worth of meat today. It was too good of a deal to pass up. Jeremy now has enough beef jerky to live off of for the next 3 months.
everyone that I like is moving to the west coast. what the heck is up with that?

Blogging from the road
Currently driving through Georgia. We've been driving since 5:30 this morning, so needless to say, our butts are a little sore. We got to Jeremy's parent's last night and visited before we headed to bed to get up at 4:30 this morning for an early start. They have a new puppy and it is so cute it was ridiculous. And I got it to poop outside this morning before we left, so I was very proud of myself.
We were going to stop at Cracker Barrel for lunch and one of those grill veggie skillets, but the wait was 15 to 20 minutes, so we went to Wendy's instead. We spent less money and time, and the food was very good for it being fast food.
We've had to Ipod on shuffle pretty much of the entire trip. I drove for a few hours earlier this morning, and also taken a couple of naps.
Plans for tonight: get Chinese takeout from a resturant, work out at the hotel, and veg out watching tv and reading until morning.
Only 3:19 more in driving time, according to the TomTom

I have to work today from 9-3, then I'm coming home, working out, finishing packing, and then going to FLORIDA!!! with a stop in Ashland to spend the night and drop of the dog. I haven't even really thought about the trip that much because I've been sorta overwhelmed with testing this week.
I found out that I passed the Naplex yesterday. I got the letter in the mail. I felt really silly when I opened it up; I was terried when I came out of that test because I really thought I might have failed. I needed a weighted score of 75 to pass. I got 140. I feel sheepish for even complaining abot it. I don't know the max score, but I almost got double to points that I needed. I feel much more conifident about the law. I won't be in town when it comes in the mail (Tuesday?), but I can call the board of pharmacy every day and ask if Virginia Fields is allowed to practice pharmacy in the state of KY. I checked yesterday, and it was a no. I was still listed as an intern. And they aren't open on the weekends so I can't call today.
Jeremy has limited me to one suitcase, a laundry basket, and a beach bag to take stuff in. We are going to be gone until next Sunday, so it's going to be hard to not plan for everything. I literally would take the sink if I could
The week after I get back, I am working at CVS. I don't know how many hours yet, but it may be a bunch because the pharmacy schedulor said that she was very short on pharmacists. And then I start the VA. I'm excited about, but I'm trying to get more excited about it since I will be doing it for a whole year.
And I am completely freaked out about making $50 an hour. It just blows my mind when I think about it. Some people who work 8 hours shifts don't even make that in a day. If I work a 12 hour shift a week, that will be an extra $600. it really freaks me out. I think I have an issue with being wealthy... i don't know. There are alot of cultural implications to it. Maybe I'm too frugal to have so much extra money.
I guess it's a pretty good thing to have to fret about. could be alot worse.

The Naplex did not go very good yesterday. I had a headache and was nauseated a few hours before the test, and then I had some stomach issues. I will equate the experience to pooping acid. Something was NOT right. I feel much better now, so hopefully it was a one time kind of deal.
Anyways, i felt horrible when I got home because I felt like the test had went so badly. But after sleeping on it, I feel much better. I knew a whole bunch of questions, and hopefully the ones that I did miss weren't weighted as much.
So, by this Friday I should know. I have the law test tomorrow, and I need to get motivated and actually study for it some more.
