Yesterday was very pleasant. Jeremy went into work pretty early (at 5) and I slept until 8ish. He got home in time to watch the UK game and while he was doing it, I took a nap with Skit. I'm worried about her. She's been in hiding since we got Perhaps and she hisses and puffs up whenever she sees the doggie. I think she's lost weight too. I hope everything works out. After the nap, we went running and did pushups. crunches, and squats. And then we went running some more. Jeremy was very encouraging while we were running. I never realized how hilly our neighborhood was but it about killed me last night.

After I shopped and got cleaned up, we went to the mall and took care of some stuff. We also swung by Best Buy and got another set of rechargable batteries so that we can actually use our digital camera longer than 10 secs.

Then we headed over to the Wild Oats Store, which I have determined to be the best store EVER. They have all this health food and organic stuff and a huge variety of vegetarian food. Very exciting. Too bad it is all pretty expensive. Jeremy declared yesterday that when we had more money, we would definitely be yuppies and only shop at places like that. Did you know they had organic laundry detergent? Who knew?

We got some granola and some soup and some spinach pasta. I'm sure it will be super enjoyable.

The pups have been getting along great. Whenever we let them out to go potty, they run around and play together. They've been playing tug of war with some sticks that we have out there. Super cute.

I'm going to head over to Transy around one and go to the library and work out. Fun times. Jeremy is at work and will most likely be there for a long time. He called this morning with some sad news. Apparently, there is a farmer's union convention at Marriott all this week and last night one of the farmers had a heart attack and passed away. Today, all the functions have been very somber and sad. I feel so sorry for the family.
I am so spoiled. My last three meals have come from Siam (with Virginia, Jeremy, and Lissa), Panera (with Lissa in Cincinatti) and PF Chang's (with Lissa in Cinci). I HIGHLY recommend all three. Especially the chocolate volcano at PF Chang's...

I had a very good birthday. There was dinner and cards and cakes and lamps and watches. And most importantly, there were no knives :)

Thanks everyone.

Alas, home alone again....

Jeremy and Chris are at the UK game. And here I sit, debating if 9:30 is too early to go to bed because I'm that big of a baby. I have a lab report due tomorrow, but in reference to my other post about the world collapsing, I have no motivation to complete it. I sort of already started it. I'm sure I'll do it in the morning.

My plans for working out after work were foiled by a puppy named Perhaps. But that's ok. I'll try to work out tomorrow. My ankle has been bothering me anyways. It started hurting on Monday at work and I could barely walk on it when I gor home last night. I think it was a case of not stretching well enough. Anyway, it's fine when I'm just walking or climbing stairs, but whenever I try to walk downstairs, hella PAIN.

Here's the plan for tomorrow.
-Get up sometime, finish stupid lab report that really shouldn't take that long. Maybe.
-Go to school and meet up with Biochem professor and try to argue some points for my crappy test
-Got to Microeconomics (I haven't read for the class... world falling apart.. yada yada)
-Go to a most likely very boring lecture for open hour so I can get extra points for Biochem
-Go to lab
-Go to band, preferably late so that I don't have to sit in misery for extended periods of time
-Go workout (in all likelyhood, this won't happen. Lunch or dinner isn't included in my list so I will most likely be weak and achy and will just want to go home)
-Love on some animals at home
-Go to bed without studying for my Spanish midterm on Friday (I'll get up early and review.)

Sigh. How many more weeks?

Another Jolley Wedding

My wedding is coming up in September (that's only 7 months away for those of you that don't know) We have had the big stuff planned for quite awhile now, but there is still all the little things to get done. Step one, make more money so we can afford this crazy thing. :) I don't know what we would do without my parents and his parents paying for so much. It's going to be at the Olmstead in Louisville, pretty pretty. I just ordered my dress a few weeks ago. I am very excited about my wedding day and I am also really looking forward to starting a family. Just think, two years from now there will probably be a baby in my office (which of course will become a baby room) Yay!
But for the mean time we still have to decide if are going on a honeymoon and where.

Oh yes, everybody don't forget Friday is VA's Bday.

Post by Chris

Hey peoples. Just thought I'd add my commentary to the suddenly wonderfully active blog (we even got a post by Jeremy! go figure!).

First of all, go Virginia on her 97 (!!!) on her microeconomics test, a test that several business majors in her class failed! She was quite excited about it, as she should be, and I was very proud.

Secondly, congratulations to Virginia and Jeremy both on the acquisition of your dog/rabbit :) She is very cute and I am proud to have partaken in her naming. So far she seems very particular in who she likes and who she wants to growl and bark at: Guys - a plus Guys with dramatic beards - maybe not so much Fat Women Housekeepers with I-just-smoked-2-packs-of-cigarettes-on-my-5-minute-break voices - also not so much. So far, I seem to be one of the fortunate ones along with Virginia, Jeremy, Maybe and Zippy.

By the way, there never was an update on that wedding theft at the Marriot. Turns out, there never was any theft. The slot in the box was tight for the cards, so when the bride shoved a couple in there, it seemed more full than it really was. Jeremy consequently kept his generous tip instead of returning it as he was going to do because he felt bad for them. Happy endings all around.

Let's be serious. I'm a little emotional. Last night, due to a birth control mishap, I am now hormoneless when I would normally have hormones. Note to self: birth control patch will not stay on butt. Refrain from sticking it there, regardless of what the little diagram in the handout says where you can and cannot stick it.

What does these mean? Well, my whole world is in the process of collapsing as we speak. I found out yesterday I got a D on my Biochem test. A D? I thought I would at least get a B. Upon further investigation of my test, I have decided that I did not deserve the score I got. Sometimes you deserve what you get, this time I did not. But does that really bother me? No. See, that's the problem. I could actually care less. I'm in pharmacy school. I just need to pass microeconomics with a C. Don't need to get my degree.

If I get a C, I don't think I will graduate with honors. But who cares? I'm in a downward spiral. I can tell. It's not like I don't study. Maybe I should study more. My sanity is slipping. I can tell. What is the world coming to?

What are we going to do with Maybe and the cats when we go on vacation. Jeremy wants to get some guy at work to stay over here but I'm not really comfortable with it.

Becky, you have to promise to not be mean to me in Hawaii. I am fragile.

Jeremy doesn't want the doggie. I can tell. He thinks that it will herd the kitties around the house.

Another First Post

Virginia sent me an invite and told me to talk about my life and what's going on. Not too much just work, school, same old, same old. Good new though, we are going to Hawaii for free with Virginia and Jeremy. FUN in the sun. We do have to pay for airfare, but Greg makes the big bucks so no worries there. :) Thanks, for allowing me to post, Virginia, you're the best little sis a gal could have.
we may be getting another doggy.... her name is Kona (actually, it's Kristen, but we would change it). She has blue heeler in her, like Maybe, but she is more white then black. I'm super excited. We are taking Maybe by to see her tomorrow. :)
I just had a Spanish quiz. It'll be interesting to see how I did. I haven't ever gotten anything lower than an A on one of them, but I may have pulled a B on this one. Oh well.

Have to go to Biochem in a few minutes and then I'm heading to the Beck center to burn some calories and make some muscles hurt. Jeremy and I went and got candy last night for the first time in forever (shush) and I have some making up to do.

Spring break is coming soon. I just want to get away!!!!!! I'm so glad I only have three classes this semester and thus far two of them have been cake. I must run!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BIOCHEM LAB REPORT!!!!!

sigh. How many more weeks until graduation?

Tuesday, February 15, 2005

Well, here's a posting because Chris made feel bad. But it'll be short and sweet.

I had a micro test and I think I did pretty good on it. After it, I went to the Beck center and ran 4 miles. Then I came home and ate lunch with Jeremy, we went to Circuit City and got another keyboard, then home to let the animals frolic outside. Then I went to band and had a horrible time with key signatures and making alot of mistakes. And we finished off the night going for a walk around the neighborhood with Maybe.

I need to make dinner soon and maybe go out and get Jeremy a new pair of tennis shoes so that he can work out better.,

Thanks Chris for writing. Welcome to the Newly Revised Fields.

My first post

Well, as those of you who check this site regularly might have noticed, this site's been kind of dead for a while. I mean, come on, there's been two posts in the last month, and one of them was about Zippy's epic battle with the table. Anyway, Virginia and Jeremy are both busy people as you know, so I'm going to be helping out on the blog for a while. Not that I'm any less busy, but maybe between the three of us, we can keep it semi-updated.

Virginia has really been hitting the Beck center lately and I've been impressed by her dedication. She runs at least a mile on the treadmill almost everyday it seems, so good for her. I'm not sure how Jeremy's progressing, but Virginia "has plans for him" so we'll keep on eye on that.

Virginia and I did KMEA a little over a week ago (she for concert band, me for jazz) and I think we both had fun. The food in the alumni reception may have been the best part. Ask Virginia about cream cheese icing, it's to die for. The worst part? Finding the stupid place. I guess I'm going to have to get used to Louisville city planning if I'm going to go to school there.

Speaking of school, never let Jeremy give you advice on classes to take. In fact, I may have him look at the May term schedule to see if there's anything he thinks looks good so I can be sure not to take it. I don't know if you're aware, but Jeremy decided Virginia had to take Frank Russell before she graduated because he was the greatest teacher ever. Well, of course me being Mr. Gullible jumped on the train with her and we both signed up for Medieval Europe.... Yeah, hate that class. Hate. I'm using the word HATE here to describe that class. Both of us. You can't understand what the man is saying, and when you do, you can't figure out where he's going. Virginia, being in the fortunate position of not having to worry about a "W" on her transcript has wisely dropped the class, leaving me to suffer through the ramblings of disjointed ambiguity. Thank you, Jeremy :-p

Let's see, what else is going on? Oh, as you may or may not know, Transy's library had some really rare and acient books stolen recently from its special collection (some James Audobon originals, Darwin first copy, 14th century book, etc). Well, they finally found the thieves and recovered the materials. The main culprit? A sophomore Transy art student. Where did they find the books? IN HIS DORMROOM! Come on! How stupid can you be?! "Hmm, couple million dollars in stolen goods...um, kind of know how the dog feels when he catches the car...eh, maybe we should have had a buyer lined up...here Spencer, stick them under your bed." Good grief people.
Aparently there was recent theft at the Marriot as well, to the tune of some poor bride and groom having nearly all of their gift envelopes stolen at a 350 guest wedding. I don't quite know how that's coming along, but Jeremy was working at the time so we'll see if anything turns up. From the details it sounds like it may have been an inside job.

If any of you see an ad in the paper for a miniature schnauzer to adopt, please let Jeremy know. His recent repeated forays to the animal shelter to visit one such little guy unfortunately did not pan out and somebody else adopted him. He had really grown attached and was a little crushed I think, so keep an eye out.

Well, I think that's enough for now. I have to think about getting motivated to go to work. I'll try to throw a post on here whenever interesting stuff is going down in our neck of the woods, which is usually pretty often. Laters.

Small update.

Zippy just tried to jump in my lap but only accomplished banging his head on the table. Poor kitty
