So I guess a better update is needed. Last week was okay. It would have been much better if Mona had not have come, but there would still have been some pretty miserable times, especially the first time. I think our biggest issue is that we spent the entire time worrying about her and trying to make her comfortable. For sure we would have gone to the beach more and walked around to more of the different places. it was just so slow going.
We got back to Ashland Friday evening around 4:00 after going to Monticello that morning. It was really cool. If you go, make sure that you go during the late summer because that it when the garden is at its peak. It was awesome even though we had to pay like $3 extra because we got our tickets online. It was so cool that I checked out some more books on it from the libary. Did you know Thomas Jefferson was OCD? who knew? Anyways, we got to Ashland and I wanted to pick up the dogs and cats and make a run, but then Jeremy had to install the printer which took forever because it didn't come with any ink cartlidges and then people started showing up for this big family dinner that Jeremy's mom was throwing for some old lady that was an old friend of the family that came to visit from Atlanta. We weren't planning on staying, but I think Jeremy's mom was trying to get us to by giving Jeremy more and more stuff to do. I finally basically threw a fit and said I've been on the road all day, I have to get up for work tomorrow at 6 am, and tomorrow is my freakin anniversary. I want to take my animals and go home. So, after Jeremy cleaned out the crap (literally, their dogs crap) out of the back from and moved the freaking dinner room table and chairs, we finally left at 6:30. I was so frustrated. Later I heard that 14 people showed up for the dinner. I could not have handled that last night.
I've had to work alot for CVS this week. Tonight is my first day off all week and I have to work Sat, sun and monday. But Monday will be time and a half, so that will be cool.

Jeremy rolling...

Almost to the bottom!

Finally made it! Of course, he fell on his face the minute he tried to stand up. I rolled down too, but the action shots weren't as good.

Amazing lighting.... this picture turned out wonderful even when the night wasn't even that beautiful!

Status post first night at camp. I am completely misery, because although you can't tell, I have over 100 beach flea bites and have only slept 1 hr the entire night. We later decided beach fleas are literally the spawn of Satan. Thankfully, the 2nd night was heavy, and the 3rd night was just sketers.

walking back from the beach

breaking down camp.

Dinner at Jeremy's friend Cheryl's vacation house who also went to outer banks with her family the same week we did. Jeremy had all he could eat craps, shrimp, and scallons. He was giddy.

Every freaking day was this beautiful! It was ridiculous.

My tummy is a tad toasty. and so is my tooshie. I just hope that it reverts to baseline tan before we head for Virginia Beach on Friday.
Oh, by the way.... we are going to Va beach and the outer banks. Have I mentioned that? I can't remember.
Sunday I went to Louisville for Becca's baby shower. I like her alot. I think she got enough onesies (not spelling that right) and little baby hats to wear a new everyone for a month.
I got him a kickass bassinet, which is kickass to say the least.
This morning I got up, burned 200 calories on the ellipitcal, did upper body weights, then swam 1000 meters. I hadn't used the pool at the gym before and it was nice getting back in the water. Then when I got home, I laid out 30 pages of my book (Black Boy by Richard Wright) on my back, 30 pages on my tummy. it wasn't until several hours later when I realized I should have just gone for 20 pages on each. oh well.
Maybe is soooo cute. she has the most amazing eyes. She's laying on the bed staring at me as I type. what a cutie pie.
I'm going to ask Jeremy to rub lotion on my burnt tooshie before we go to bed tonight. He's had to work every single night since Saturday trying to get his budgets done for 2009. It sucks because they are due next Friday, but since we are leaving for Ashland to drop off the dogs this Friday night, he only has until 5:00 Friday night to get them done. He's been working overtime.

yawn... there's nothing like getting up at 4:30 to work out and then being able to go back to sleep afterwards until 10:45. it's awesome.
Perhapsy got a hair cut yesterday and Maybe is on the list to do today. I have to give her a bath first so that will be a drag.
My husband has a kick ass butt.
And thank goodness he isn't a freak and shaves his legs. THAT completely freaks me out.
My sister is going to have a munchkin soon. I hope it is cute. and even if it isn't, I'll say that it is:)
So, we are going to VA beach and the outer banks the week after next. I don't remember if I've written about this or not, but I apparently have ran out of hours at the VA, so they told me to take the next month. which is awesome. I'm very glad, although I didn't realize it at the time. It is goign to be really cool at the outer banks. We are camping on the ocean two or three nights and that should be really cool. I think Jeremy's sister Mona will be going with us so I hope that be fun. I'm just worried about dying from the heat, but the ocean will be right there and we can jump in it whenever we want to and cool off. so hopefully all will be good.
I'm reading the Great Gatsby. Not so much. I wonder at what point it is suppose to start getting interesting. I thought maybe there were suppose to be some underlying symbolism or something, but not so much. Oh well, I'll finish it today and then move onto something else.
I'm going to try and lay out today in order to get a much needed base tan so I will not burn to death on above mentioned trip to beach. I hope that the sun comes out some. that storm we had last night was ridiculous.

I ran a mile this morning in 8:31, which is by far the fastest I've ever ran a mile. And then I ran another one for good luck, although that one took 10:10 to finish.
I enjoyed the Dave concert, although I was super super tired at the end. We were extremely dehydrated at the end, enough so that after we drank the water in the car, we stopped by the gas station and got powerades to rehydrate with and get some electrolytes.
It was really freaky away we sweated constantly the entire time. I was completely soaked through everything.
I was really glad I was there with Jeremy. Every time I turned to look at him and smile, he already had a big smile on his face. And the last hour or so, he stood behind me with his arms around mine and danced and pushed people away when they got too close. It was a really surreal experience thinking back because it should have been so miserable at that point because I was so tired and sweaty and my back hurt and I had been screamed at twice already because I refused to move when people tried to get in front of me, but Jeremy was there and he held me and protected me and sang into my ear and held me hands and made me completely forget that there were 10K people behind using wanting my spot. I told Jeremy later that it was a really good thing that we were so close (and I mean crazy close) to the band because there were only like 10 or so people between us and the front of the stage and I managed to convince myself that there really wasn't that many people there. But when I looked behind me, the stands and the field were completely covered with people packed together, so I didn't look behind me much.
Other notes:
-I dislike like pudgy little twits
-I was always on the impression that people who smoke pot were idiots. impression correct.
-tennis shoes were for sure the way to go
-it was a good thing that I brought earplugs because we were right in front of the front speakers; I knew it was loud on some songs because I would put my hand on my chest and feel it vibrate with the beat
-tossing water bottles and drum sticks out into the crowd is dangerous (someone could die!)
