So, I think we are going down to Gatlinburg for the long weekend. I hope that it is fun and relaxing and not stressful. I still plan on getting a bit of studying done, or at least getting all my busy work out of the way.

i wish there were more hours in the day so I could sleep more.

financing for everone

You know, I am one of the most insecure people I know. But, I guess everyone is the most insecure person they know because you get to give yourself unfiltered critiques 24/7.

But, Jeremy can attest to the fact that I am really insecure. i annoy the crap out of him complaining about it.

I feel bad because even though I feel insecure, things could be alot worse. None of my clothes could fit, I could be 50 pounds more than I am right now, I could be balding, I could have scars from my acne, I could have a freaky body shape.

I don't want to be the person that puts on makeup everyday and spends money on clothes and dyes their hair, but that doesn't stop me from being envious of them sometimes.

I am me. I wear jeans that are slightly on the short side and don't always fit perfectly. I wear wrinkle T-shirts that were left in the dryer too long. I wear hoddies and old school sweatshirts and wear Jeremy's workout shorts when I don't have any clean ones. My hair is pulled back all the time and although I only wear Victoria Secret underwear, the mediums are too big and the smalls are too small, so I stuck between granny undies and undies that cut off my circulation. I have nicer clothes that I don't wear because they are too form fitting, and even though I have a nice form, it is not perfect so I don't ever wear them. I am so white it is shocking and I don't wear shorts to school because I don't want to hear people comment about it. I wear sports bras even when I'm not working out anyday over a regular bra just because sometimes regular bras just suck. I go months without getting my hair trimmed even though I know it really needs it.

But I would rather be me than anyone else, otherwise I guess I would change.

sticky hands

I went running after class and Kelly joined be right when I finished mile 3. the last two miles flew by even though we were talking the entire time. she told me that I needed to keep my hands lower when I ran and it would help me to relax.

Jeremy is busy with his computer game and I am busy with homework. I have a feeling this is going to be a long year.

sleeping too much

tomorrow, I don't have to be at class until 1, but I'm going in early to work out and to out hand out scrubs for Rho Chi.

on top of old smoky

Today I worked at Todd's Rd from 9 to 3 and then I came home and read some in my book. Then, I took a nap. Jeremy woke me up after a bit and we went down to campus to eat at Mellow Mushroom. the pizza was very similar to Pazzo, except that I had several bites that tasted like dirt. Jeremy couldn't taste it of course. He thought maybe I was tasting where they baked it on a stone. either way, it was gross and I didn't like it, but I do have a very sensitive palate. I don't think that's how you spell that word.

then, we headed over to the arboretium at Jeremy's suggestion and went for a walk. it was timed perfectly because by the time we got back to the car it had jsut finished getting dark.

now, I'm working on some studying, but I think I may call it quits for the night because I am starting to get sleepy. I am excited about tomorrow because I finally get to sleep in. I've only been at school a week and I am already sleep deprived. that's lame.

Last night we drove to Frankfort to eat Thai Smile. I love that place. it was an overall nice night. Jeremy and I were able to sit and talk about the previous four years (five if you count the year before we got married) and there was one moment on the drive home where we were holding hands and I swear if I had to live in that moment forever, I could never be more peaceful and content.

if only there weren't the hassles of life to deal with

Happy Anniversary!! Virginia and Jeremy from both of us.

Mediocre people do exceptional things all the time.

i ran 8 miles today. took me a bit, but I did it.

Jeremy is doing something at the Mansion today, so he is going to be home late. I think that I am going to take a nap. I am one tired puppy. I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked last night, and it didn't help that I went to bed sort of late.

Last night we watched Shut up and Sing. it was awesome. it made me love the Dixie Chicks even more. there was something that Natalie said in regards to George Bush and it was hysterical. I wish I had written it down. It's probably for the better though because it was sorta profane.

Monday, August 20, 2007

I ran 7 miles before classes today! whoohoo.

Today was fine as a first day except that we were suppose to get our books and they weren't there to hand them out.

I've decided not to give to people friendshipwise who don't give the same back to me.

we're watching highschool musical 2... and we're really excited.

your bum is on my leg

Becca came into town for a meeting or something and she spent the night on Friday. Saturday morning, we got up and Jeremy went over to Spauldings to get donuts. Then, she headed off to finish her meeting and Jeremy and I hung around. We went over to his Uncle Don and Aunt Toddy's and had dinner with them.

I slept in this morning, but I think we are going for a bike ride later on this afternoon.

Maybe and Perhaps got haircuts and baths yesterday and they are very cute. I think we figured out how to keep from giving them clipper burn.

We stopped by Sonic last night and I got a cherry limeade. I've never had one and I was very impressed. I don't think they have caffiene in them, because I wasn't up all night and I really didn't pee an abnormal amount from what I usually do.

School starts tomorrow, but I don't think my first class is until one because they cancelled the lab in the morning. So, I will go and work out before hand and shower there and take my lunch and all that jazz.

my nails have been growing out very nicely and they are very pretty.

go easy now
go easy now
later on the road I'm gonna lay my body down
we'll meet along the way, I know

go straight and true
go straight and true
later on the road is gonna break your world in two
we'll meet along the way, I know
we'll meet along the way, I know

stick a fork in me, I almost died last night.

So, we went to the run and we both did really well. I ran 3 miles in 31:40, and the whole 5K in 32:50, which is less than 11 min miles. My goal was less than 12 minute miles so that was really good. I ran faster than I ever did on the track. I think it helped that there were people around me.

so, when I got done, my ears started to itch really badly. we decided to head home instead of waiting for the trophy awards. Long story short, my eyes swelled shut, my lips turned into Angelina Jolie's and my throat closed up. I doped up on Benadryl and some left over medrol and took a shower and was pretty pathetic. I couldn't talk or swallow and it got to the point were Jeremy had to check on me to make sure I was still breathing. Yeah, it sucked just a little. it was 100x worse then when my eyes swelled earlier this summer. so the next time it happens, I literally might die. the nurse practioner I went to today said I need to go to a specialist and get a
prescription for an epi pen and that i needed to carry benadryl around with me all the time. it was pretty scary

Tuesday, August 14, 2007

i have alot of errands that I have to run around and do today. and then tonight Jeremy and I are going out to Masterson station park to do a 5k run. I hope that I can finish it. Yesterday I was only able to run 4 miles before I started cramping really badly. it stunk.

lots of things to do. I'm sort of waiting until closer to 9 to leave to take Maybe to the vet because that's when Petsmart opens. the vet opens before then, but I have to pry the doors open.

to the bank, to CVS for pictures, to school to finish up the bulletin board, to the gym for my bike ride, then home for lunch and maybe a nap before the race. I hope Todd's rd picture machine works or i will be very upset if I have to drive over to Walden. that would be lame.

I hate having acne. I wish it would just go away

Friday, August 10, 2007

I have a new job and a new exercise program all in one. There are 3 floors with 27 steps between each one. I'm on the second floor and have to go down to the first at least twice a day. I hope to build up going down to the first and up to the third before ending up on the second at least once a day. They remodeled over the summer so everything in the library is in boxes that have to be unpacked. At least Monday people will come from the board and help get the books on shelves. I hope I can keep from wimping out and using the elevator. Mark Rose, the first principal I worked under at Iroquois told Tom Wortham the principal at Barret thar he would be lucky to have me as a library clerk. So far I'm working hard but having fun doing it. The ride there is a little longer than I like but it's worth it if this job stays so enjoyable. I just need to find a way home that I like. I've tried 4 different ways and they all are about 30 minutes but I don't really like any of them. The one way that's most recommended is closed for construction and only let's residents through. The first day I fell asleep on the couch as soon as I sat down at home. Today I made it up to bed for a nap. Hopefully by this time next week I won't need a nap. Steps and unloading boxes have worn me out.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Walden Drive sucks!!!!!

I feel better now.

my ankles hurt from running today. I don't think that I had my shoes tied tight enough and they weren't supportive enough. I think I cut my time down by two minutes though for my 6 mile run. Tomorrow is biking.

I spent several hours at school today working on that damn bulletin boards for Rho Chi. Apparently, people with mild OCD should not work on bulletin boards.

Alaska--enjoy Virginia and friends.

Mendenhall Glacier, Tongass National Forest, Alaska --very cold
I saw a bear with her two cubs here.

Alaska at the end of July. Plenty of ice floating in the water.

An ice waterfall.

The hump is a humpback whale. They are really fast divers.

Sea lions. They put on a show jumping off the bouy.

The Red Onion Brothel in Skagway. The "ladies" used to send their fees down to the cashier by copper pipes when they were done. When they were busy, a doll was lain down. When the money came down the doll was stood up until another customer went upstairs.

John in Canada at the top White Pass trail where the railroad took gold rushers to the Yukon. The ride up was really steep.

Frigid in July. We were only out of the bus long enough to get our picture taken but the wind was blowing and it was bitter cold.

Glacier Bay

John was amazed .

I was amazed that John actually posed for a picture at Glacier Bay.

We saw and heard a huge chunk of ice fall off this glacier. It was actually taller than the ship. Sounded like thunder.

Beautiful place for seals to be born. We had to stay out because of the baby seals and the baby seals to be.

Saxon Indian Villiage

Lumberjack show.

John by the ship.

I have more pictures but I'm going to take some of them to get printed so I can show them around. And the rest will be on my computer for any family or friend who really want to see a couple of hours of pictures.

I ran 6 miles this morning. the last mile was rough... I sorta felt sick the entire time.

I painted Maybe's nails pink and she is the cute.

I love spingebob

some things I've learned from having German Friends visit

-ice cubes are really ice blocks

-queues are rampant

-homeless bums wear birkenstocks out of their houses and on the street

-books are much are much more expensive in Germany

-a lot more Germans are vegetarians than Americans

-this abundance of vegetarianism does not reflect in their restaurants because Germans rarely eat out
Virginia and I went a 3 hour bike ride around Lexington yesterday morning. It ended up being about a 27 mile road trip. We stopped at the farmer's market mid-trip and bought a few things too. I'm not sure why, but the farmer's market seems much bigger and better than the past few years despite the ongoing drought conditions that have persisted most of the summer. The market is a whole block longer than last year. We actually bought some peaches yesterday and an onion for Greek salad. Oh yeah, and we bought some fresh kettle corn, which didn't make it through the night. It was some good stuff to say the least.

Friday, August 03, 2007

I ran four miles and biked 18 this morning. I was so tired, even my jaw was sore when chewing my lunch. But no pain, no gain. I have to whip my butt into shape if I want to do this duathalon. Luckily, I won't be doing such a hard workout every day. that's a once a week kind of thing. my time for that was 1 hour and 53 minutes. tomorrow is biking, sunday off, monday 6 miles running, tuesday 25 miles biking, wed running, thurs biking, and then friday I'm going to try for 6 miles running and 18 miles biking. I've had more protein in the past couple of days that I think I've had in the past month...

now, it is nap time.

a quick update before I head off to work. I have to work in Danville tonight until 10 , so that stinks.

Jeremy got his quarterly bonus this week, which added up to a little bit over $1000. we are using 800 of it to go towards the car loan. and the other $200 he is going to use towards buying a new computer game.

This weekend we are planning on biking all around Man O'war.

my nails are growing out very nicely.
