Well, sort of. I was suppose to work at the corner store because they girl that usually works over there was suppose to take the PCAT today but she ended up getting really sick and had to go into the hospital and she was suppose to give me a key to over there but she couldn't because she was sort of in the hospital and then the other two people over there that should have a key didn't send one over last night and now they aren't returning our calls and Steve doesn't have akey and Kathy and Lynne don't have a key (no one knows where the spare key went). So I am keyless and I can't work in the corner store if I can't get into the corner store. So, I will be going at 12 and taping up a note explaining that the store won't open (I'm sure everyone in the entire place will freak out... I opened two hours late one time because of a miscommunication and they about all had heartattacks.) And then I'm making the rounds of all the stations.
Then I'm goign to work out and get rid of the lard that had settled on my tummy and thighs.
Then I will go back to the corner store and make more rounds at three.
Then I will head over to liberty road and stay and help fill if need be. If not, I will go home and veg. With jeremy. And the animals.
Still no news from corporate about who got that job. It's driving me crazy, Jeremy too.
I can't find my eye drops. I thought I put them in my purse, but now I can't find them. That makes me sad.

merging with one contact in....
Isn't such a great idea.
I just took the dogs for a walk (separately, mind you) and now my legs are doing this weird twitching thing.
We heard some bad news from Jeremy's mom last night. Meeko, mona's little kitten is dead. He passed away yesterday and Jeremy's mom is really broken up about it. She blames herself. Jeremy called mona in Japan last night to tell her because his mom couldn't talk without sobbing. It was really horrible. Jeremy feels bad for not taking the kitten to stay with us, but we weren't the ones to make the decision. Because Jeremy's mom is so torn up, I don't think we will be leaving the dogs with her while we go on vacation. We will either have to board them, or get Bec and Greg to watch them.
I'm going to go into work in a little bit. I told them I would go in early to help with the 30 day stuff. I was on call last night because I traded shifts with Zach for Sunday (he wanted to go to a baseball game). I got three pages, but didn't have to go for them. That was really sweet. I'm glad too because during the first two pages, I had just gotten done with doing 30 minutes on the bike and I was a little funky if you know what I mean.
There was a big lunch yesterday that was catered but by the time i got there with my beautiful watermelon, everyone had already eaten and there was no more food. That stunk because I had a crap load of uneaten watermelon and my lunch was sort of sad. I managed to get some lettuce and make a sad little salad, but needless to say, it wasn't what I was hoping for.

I don't work until 1 for the rest of the week and I didn't even know it. Granted, I have to work on Sunday for inventory, but that's ok.
Jeremy just ran 2 and a half miles. I'm super proud of him. I think I ran like a quarter. I can for sure tell that I haven't worked out in a month. ONe day at a time right?
we were going to get a watermelon at kroger but it was 6.99 for a tiny one. That's outrageous!

I can see again...
sorta.
I can't go outside with out a hat on. Last night I had to shower in the dark and I accidently got blinded by a lightning bug wehen I was looking out the window.
Sadly, i'm all better to go back into work after my follow up appointment. That makes me sad.
Jeremy thought I was being petty yesterday when I took him into work and din't introduce him to everyone there (aka the person I don't like there). Well, I would rather be petty than a hypocrite. You know, I tried to ignore this particular person for over two months, but the daily attacks on me and the way I live my life got to be too much. I'm sick of being told that everything I do is wrong (how I dress, how I stand, how I eat, how I spend my money, what I do on the weekends). So, I talked to my manager and informed him that I was no longer going to talk to the person in question unless is was work related. And he said is was ok. Seriously, I've tried the whole small talk during lunch and all I get in return is that I look sickly, my food is disgusting, bland, and "junk", I need to take more vitamins, I need to sale my car so I don't have a car payment....
Believe me, it gets old fast. I snapped a dew weeks ago (I believe it was the day I brought in corn bread for the cookout work was having and the comment was made that it was "disgusting" and "too dry" by said individual to me. He knew I made it. You know, there's opinions and then there's just nastiness. So I snapped. And I no longer talk to him about my life whatsoever. what did I do this weekend? nothing. how am I? (walk away pretending I didn't hear him).
That's why I am petty. I would rather be petty than come home crying after work (which I've done several times) then to put up with his comments anymore. So I'm being overly sensitive. maybe over time I will acknowledge his existence again, but most likely not anytime soon. I'm sick of being talked down to and insulted merely because I talked about what I did last night.
I wish there wasn't drama in my life. It's strange that for every like 500 people I met, there's always one person that I dont' mesh with at all. We'll no one at work meshes with the person I'm talking about above. I'm the only one who's too sensitive to take it anymore.
I't funny how you can dislike someone so much in the presence and then as time pasts you can't really remember why you disliked them in the first place. or you can, but in retrospect you can see how your anger blew it our of proportion. hmm... enough of the woe is me.
I'm going to go find jeremy and harass him.

I'm pretty blind, so firgive me if you can't read this very well. I can't really read the screen to proofread.
I woke up this morning and my eye hurt really bad and I ended up going to the eye doctor. it was horrible. I couldn't see anything and the pain was really bad. most of the pain I've experienced in my life has been sort of pulsing, but this was really consistent. My head hurt and I actually got nauseated because I was in so much pain. the doc thinks that it was becaise I slept in my contacts and got some kind of ulcer. But I've been sleeping in my contacts for the lat 10 years and this has never ahppened before.
Nut I got some medication (let me tell you, oing to the phamacy to get the eye drops was horrible. They dialated my eye and it was really sensitive to light and I had to wear a hat, two pairs of sunglasses and a sweatshirt over my head to keep the sunlight out. and then I couldn't see anyone in the pharmacy to introduce them to jeremy.
I think I added a ( earlier, but I can't see it now, so sorry for letting you haag.
I have a follow up appouintment tomorrow at noon, so I'll be going into work late them too. It was funnu because last night I was complaining that I didn't want to go into work today and this is what happened. I can't do anything excpet listen to TV, so it's really boring.
We went to the optomitrist (sorry about the spelling) (you try to spelling something you can't see and don't even know how to speel l in the first place) ok.. I just fogot what I was writing. oh yeah... the doctor was in walmart and after we goot done, we went to get a car adapter for Jeremy's ipod and I had those silly plastic sunglasses on and jeremy was leading me about like a bling person. I'm glad that I couldn't see people's faces because I wouldn have been embassarsses. I have a feeling I just speelied that sentence really badly. I really need to work on my keyboarding.
I think I'm going to retire to the couch. I ', listening to that 30 minute cooking show... I like that lady. You should watch it sometime.

It's Been a While
Ok, so I haven't posted in months. I guess it's high time to throw a few updates/general musings on this thing.
Lissa was in town this weekend and we had fun eating, shopping, bowling, and plying golf. Last night, I took her and Virginia out to Alfalfa's, a veggie-friendly restaurant in downtown Lexington that VA likes. I thought I would hate it, but it was actually pretty decent. Then we went on a search for stores that were still open so Virginia could get an iPod to surprise Jeremy with. We brought it back to my house to load some songs on it for him, but software issues made it more hassle than it would have been worth. Oh well. I burned him a copy of a Dave Matthews Band concert DVD (live at Fulsom Field) so I'm sure he'll enjoy that. I have some rarer Dave CD's I can get to him later. Oh yeah, and Virginia bravely took her life in her hands (people have died, she reminded us) and played with sparklers with me and Lissa in my backyard. It was all sorts of childhood reminiscent fun.
Lissa left this morning to be with family for a brunch and a party. Today (being Father's Day) might be a little rough for her, as her father recently passed away. She is coping very well, however, so just keep her and her fam in your thoughts or prayers.
Brief update on me (skip this section if you have no interest in neuro- or developmental psychology) - I'm doing research with pre-school children in Louisville this summer. We are looking at differences in evoked response potentials in their brain waves for different stimuli (mainly things designed to assess their phonological processing skills). We are comparing these findings with behavioral and achievement assessments on children who they've been following for a couple years now, along with questionnaire data like SES, home environment, parental expectences, smoking/drinking during pregnancy, etc. The hope is that, because behavioral changes (academic performance, intelligence, etc) seem to lag behind changes in brain waves, early predictions of later problems, especially in reading and language skills, can be caught very early on when intervention is most effective.
I will be going to U of L school of medicine starting in August. I am hoping to find a roommate to share a two-bedroom apartment in Phoenix Place (just two blocks East of the Health Sciences Campus).
That's all I got for now. I have to find a Father's Day present (I know, I'm horrible) and a present for my brother Dustin's birthday. He'll be 18 on Wednesday and will be leaving to join the army at the end of the month.

Medical terminology is coming along, slowly but surely. I also started the the math tech book that we have to work out of. ASk me any question about Roman numerals, and I'll be able to answer it.
Bec, just an update, Jeremy can't get any rooms for free anywhere in Lousiville because of that convention. He can get a suite, but it wouldn't be for a discount ($350 a night). If you want to go outside of Louisville, he can look at those places too (across the river or something.) Let me know.
In other news, we will be going to Florida from July 2 to the 9th or so. Jeremy's parents booked a two bedrrom down there and aren't going to be able to go, so they gave it to us. We were both able to get off work. So, if anyone wants to go to Florida with us, leave a message. It's Daytona. You would have to pay for 1/3 of the gas (or less depending on how many people go) and your food. The condo has a full kitchen, so we plan on cooking most of our meals. The condo has enough room for 4 more people, so if you want to go and can get away from work leave a message (eric, katherine, kyle, chris, lissa, bec, greg... anyone else that reads this blog and can get away for a week... this means you!).
If you can;'t come to Florida, but would like to watch the dogs for a few days or the entire week, leave a message for that too.

the tomatoes are coming up :)
Last night we watched movies and played poker with Chris and I worked on my medical terminology. Enter/o means small intestine.
I accidently knicked Perhap's ear yesterday when I was cutting her hair. And Maybe's dew claw isn't in very good shape. Our poor puppies are falling apart.
I wish that there wasn't any dramam at work. It just adds extra stress that I could seriously do without.
ectomy- excision
tomy- incision
stomy- creation of an opening
itis- inflammation
ectasis- dilation
megaly- enlargement
rrhapy- suture
rrhexis- rupture
Jeremy is building a storage container at work for all the new white table skirts the banquet department got. I hope that he does a good job on it.
One more hour until work. I think I'll work on some more terminology before then because I'm such a big pansy that I'll rather be studying during my summer break rather than watching tv. I know, I'm lame.

It has been six days since we planted that garden and the tally so far is:
a million radish seedlings
2 cucumber seedings
1 squash seedling
and the three tomato transplants are looking happy
no signs of the cantaloupe, peppers, or the tomato seedlings.
It's all good though because it takes 10 days for germination on some of them.
I had preprofessional day at UK yesterday. I learned a lot and spent a lot of money. I was also stressed out a bunch but as Jeremy would say "no worries."
We have assignments out of two textbooks before school starts that we are going to be tested on. Today I learned that lip means fat, hyper means excessive and protein means protein. Who knew? I hope I do well at pharmacy school. It seems pretty overwhelming. It will be interested to see how it is compared to Transy.
I think I'm going to join KAPS (ky association of pharmacy students). When I join that I get membership into a bunch of other national pharmacy groups. I guess we'll see how much it costs.
I'm going to need to buy some more dress clothes. And I need new makeup. And a haircut. and some shoes. Ans $176 to buy a parking permit. I hope I get enough loan money.
Classes will be from 10 to 4:45ish, I think. Tues and Thurs we have lab, which we have to dress up for. This is sort of strange for me, because in undergrad labs equated to whatever you didn't mind getting ruined, not "professional" attire.
So far, here are the expenses:
$650 on books
$24 on a lab coat (I got a small... the medium was too big. I hope the small isn't too small in winter clothing)
$15 for a UK wildcat ID card
I was going to get a weight set, but I asked the guy if I could use an old pharmacist's set and he told me yes. So that saved me forty dollars. I don't know. I may freak out and send in money for a set just because. I don't want to be looked down upon by the prof because I didn't follow directions and don't have the same weight set as everyone else.
Upcoming expenses:
Over $50 for immunizations to work in medical building
$45 (I think) to get certified by the American heart association in CPR (no American red cross)
$176 for the above mentioned parking permit
$10,000 (about) for tuition. They really wouldn't give us a straight answer about tuition yet. They said the board of meeting next week to finalize details.
The financial aid guy said that pretty much everyone was given at least 18 K in loans. I would rather get students loans now and have a lower interest rate later and use any extra money that we have to help pay off Fairfield.
I think Jeremy may decide to postpone graduate school. Again, we'll just have to wait and see.
I'm streed out about tests and becca's wedding.
Man, I love summer. I wish it could be like this 12 months of the year.

Tonight mom is coming into town and we are going out to eat and then she is spending the night. And then we are going to UK pharmacy school for their pre-professional day. I have to dress up for it. And i've managed to misplace my makeup... since you know I wear it ALL the time. So, maybe I'll spend some of my graduation money and go get some more.
Jeremy and I have alot of extra money in our account but we are torn in what we should do with it. We could use it to pay off some of Fairfield earlier ( we're on the 10 year plan) or we could just save it until school starts and see how much loan money we get. I don't know if I will get enough money to pay for all of pharmacy school or if jeremy will get enough to pay for all of graduate school. He may not even go if he doesn't get this job that he is applying to. But if I do get enough money and extra, we should take it all and pay of fairfield because the interest rates differ on student loans and fairfield loan by more than 8 percent. I guess we will know soon enough. I'm going to be so happy the day we are out of debt (which will be like never!)
I got my dress for the wedding. It's too big. My boobs need to grow about two more cup sizes.
I have pictures of the garden and of graduation. Jeremy has to upload them though because I don't know how. So, that won't happen anytime soon.

I have pictures of the garden and of graduation. Jeremy has to upload them though because I don't know how. So, that won't happen anytime soon.
