I have a three day weekend.  Plans are to clean the house REALLY well.  it got really gross while I was sick.  Maybe is shedding and there is hair every where.

One of the older pharmacists is retiring and she is the pharmacy CMOP manager.  I am going to apply for her job.  It is Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 4:00 with no holidays.  And I can basically take leave whenever I want (i'm not in a leave group).  I think I will like the job, but I also have my reservations.  I really like my current job and the rotation and variety.  But, I know that working until 6:00 some nights is really rough on Jeremy and I only have an hour with the boys before they go to bed.  Also, when I have to work weekends, Jeremy has to watch both the boys, so it is sorta like he doesn't get relazing time.  and don't get me started on when I have to work until 11pm and whenever I have to float into third shift.  I don't mind those shifts, but I know that Jeremy doesn't like them. Parenting really is a team effort, and it's hard when your short a team mate.

so, I'm worried that I will regret leaving my current job (this is, if I get it.  There is another pharmacist that is applying, and she has been there longer, and she is a really good pharmacist, but her communication skills aren't up to par). But then I think about the boys and being with them more.  but then again, they will actually be at daycare more often then now, because if I work at 9:30 they go in later but Jeremy picks them up at the same time and if I work at 3pm, then they don't go until really late. But having off weekends is a big deal.

it would be a raise, but I would end up actually making less because I wouldn't have weekend or night differential or holiday pay from working holidays. And I wouldn't interact with patients very much, and do nothing clinical, and nothing inpatient.

the VA is such an amazing place to work.  I really do like my job and am thankful I have an 8 hour work day with such amazing benefits. Some pharmacists work 14 hour shifts, are on their feet all day, can't pee or eat when they want, for sure can't pump at work in privacy, can't call in sick, have to use vacation when sick, don't have management to support them, don't have an extended work family....

I am so thankful and don't want to mess up a good thing, especially if potentially I am in this job for the next 30 years until I retire.

Man, it has been a rough three weeks.  I barely recover from the flu, only to get a horrible stomach virus that completely knocked me off my feet.  had to go to the ER and get IV fluids, which was an ordeal in itself.  I'm finally on the mend, after they diagnosed me with C. Diff.  I don't feel like I've been at work in forever.  And I have another three day weekend coming up.  I ended up having to use three days of annual leave because I didn't have any sick leave left.

Ready for it to be summertime.  Ready for my hair to stop looking like a mullet.

Ready for the dogs to stop shedding and our house to be clean.

Good news is that Wyatt has slept through the night basically 4 nights in a row.

And even though I got down to 137 pounds, I'm still making about 5 ounces of milk a day, which is more than I was with the flu.
